Born in Michigan, raised in Florida, schooled in Texas, employed all over.

My love of visual arts became apparent when I spent the summer of ’91 photographing my younger cousins in various scenes around their home. My favorite — a bird’s eye view from their tree in the front yard. It was those photos that I submitted a couple years later to earn my spot on the yearbook staff in the eighth grade.

That same year, I was one of the chosen few to deliver & produce the school’s video morning announcements. My farewell contribution to middle school — a co-produced video tribute to the eighth-grade class. This began my love of television production.

I majored in Television/Film/Radio at SMU. I worked the first two years setting up AV equipment for events in the university’s student media center, and transferring and editing film snippets for students’ class projects in the university’s “production” office.

I also joined the newspaper staff as a sports reporter. I was named the Sports Editor of our college yearbook my junior year, implementing a new and engaging approach to yearbook sports coverage. I wrote just about every word in that section, proving to myself that I could be a writer and that I loved it. I also photographed a ton of soccer, tennis, volleyball and some basketball. This is where I discovered my love for catching emotion on camera.

That led me to a career in the newspaper business, designing layouts and covering community news. I also took on and mastered production management, distribution management and a multitude of other business skills.

After working for “the man” for more than six years, I ventured out on my own in 2008, offering graphic design, web design, photography, copywriting services and more. I’ve never looked back!

I got married in 2009 to the love of my life. We enjoy relaxing in our 101-year-old historic home with our dogs, Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper.
